They played the Race card on me: Bill CLINTON caught LYING and cursing on tape

advertisement

"I think that they played the race card on me," Clinton said in an interview on WHYY here yesterday. "And we now know from memos on the campaign and everything that they planned to do it all along."
When the reporter pointed to the WHYY radio interview, Clinton denied that that's what he said. "No, no, no. That's not what I said," the former president replied. "You always follow me around and play these little games"...

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

It should come as no surprise that Clyburn (see NYT's article today where Clyburn is talking about Bill Clinton's accusing Obama of using the race card and then denying he said it on NPR) is now stating the obvious. The Clintons will do anything to win at any cost, even to discredit and ensure Obama would not win in November. What a shame that the Clinton legacy, including Hillary (look at her negatives) is now so tarnished and not just with African Americans! (I'm a 64 year old white woman!) Dispite all this, Obama leads McCain in Indiana 49% to 40% where Clinton is at dead even with McCain.

As well, why is it that the press is not covering the fact that Bill Clinton, when going through Lewinsky scandal thought highly enough of Rev. Wright that he invited him to the White Hiuse as spiritual advisor. Yet, Hillary keeps implying he's "un-patriotic"! If he was so "un-patriotic" would both Clintons had asked him to be a spiritual advisor? If he was so "un-Patriotic why was he a Marine for 6 years or given a commendation by Bill Clinton? Double-Speak? For shame Bill and Hillary!

Saying anything to win, pandering to folks whoever they are, praising McCain and cutting down Obama, turning into a hawk on nuclear war, phonying up experience, and slinging back Crown Royal shots (do you want your children to be given that example of a presidental nominee when alcoholism is rampant in society) should have the Super-Delegates racing to Obama!

I truly hope that all of America can see through the lies and would urge them to end this by calling, emailing and writing the super-delegates to stop this now before McCain ends up giving us 8 more years of war, economic disaster and divisive politics!

Great points. To use your name, I have to say no "Serious Discussion" needed.

It's always so funny that the Dems are so eager to find the next hero or Messiah, that they will don their rose colored glasses whatever the cost. It's as Lord Byron said centuries ago in his Don Juan. Barack Obama is just another sleazy politician who got where he is with the help of some questionable tactics. So much for one ordinary person can do extraordinary things--sure they can...with the help of some extraordinary connections and some underhanded moves. Barack was given leeway by the press so many times when talked about race. He was white and African American and who could accuse him of being a racist even though he belonged to a black church that espoused some divisive thought? Bill Clinton and his wife never had a chance. The only way you can talk about race in this country is if you're a minority. Since this precludes the Clintons, they were bashed by the press every chance they got when trying to enter the race debate. And Obama cleverly maneuvered the political discussion in his favor. Wake up Dems.
